Parañy de Viladellops is a tribute to the beauty of old vines and the power of time, with an exclusive production of just 292 bottles.

Intense aubergine colour with violet edges and many tears. Fresh and intense aroma of ripe red fruits, prunes, spices and balsamic. Medium structure, mineral, fruity, notable acidity, lively and with sweet tannins. Persistent, tasty and long aftertaste. The Parañy is a parcel of 100% Carignan. With vines that are 80–90 years old. The surface is equivalent to “one working day of land” (the extent to which a farmer could work in one day). A unique parcel located in the middle of the Garraf Massif, surrounded by forest. Only in exceptional years when the Carignan expresses its best, approximately 300 bottles are produced. It ferments in open French oak barrels, using indigenous wild yeasts.

Harvest: manually in 15 kg crates with selection in the vineyard and sorting table.

Pre-fermentative maceration: in open barrels at a temperature of 10-12ºC.

Fermentation: with indigenous yeast in barrels at a controlled temperature between 23 and 25ºC.

Aging: aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. Barrel exit on November 22, 2022. The wine remains in tanks until bottling.

Bottling: 288 bottles on January 16, 2023.

Color: intense aubergine with purple edges and wide legs.

Aroma: fresh and intense with ripe red fruits, dried plum, spices, and balsamic notes.

Palate: medium structure, mineral, fruity, with marked acidity, vibrant and sweet tannins.

Finish: persistent, flavorful, and with a long aftertaste.
